Hey Mom!

Whatcha doin???

Trip to Virginia

We all traveled the 6 hours down to Virginia the weekend before Thanksgiving to spend some time with Nick's family. With a baby, it will surely take MORE than 6 hours to get there. While we were down, we spent one night in Blacksburg and also went to the Miami game (Jackson made it to the tailgate, but stayed home for the game with his grandma and aunt Sarah). Jackson also got to meet his great grandparents - M and PaPa. He had a blast with them, and they likewise! It was a great weekend, and we can't wait to travel down again.

Jackson's first girlfriend"s"

That's right... plural. He has girlfriend"s". Couldn't decide between the two, so he has chosen both of them to be his first girlfriend. We told him he could only get away with this at such a young age. Things like that just don't fly when you grow up. So for now, he's just having fun, playing the field. Girlfriend #1 is Lila Anne. She lives in Chesapeake, VA, and is 3 weeks younger than Jack. Her favorite ways to spend her days are swinging, hanging with her big brother Preston, and shopping with her mama. She's the daughter of Mere's best friend Melissa and her hubby Ray. Jack and Lila's first rendevous was at the Country Inn and Suites in Annapolis.

Girlfriend #2 is Reese Elizabeth. She's a younger woman as well, a little over a month old. She lives in Blacksburg, VA with her parents Bryan and Rachel. She loves to spend her time planying on her tummy (NOT!), going to VT tailgates, and partying all night (much to her parents dismay). She's had a tough start in our world, but things are getting easier and easier for her. Jack was very intrigued by her crying, and couldn't stop staring at her when they met. Love at first sight. Although Reese wasn't too thrilled...

Toys!

He loves them! It almost seems as though he became interested overnight! His favorites are his blue elephant and his loopy toy.

3 months!

I know, I know... a little late, but time is scarce when you have a little one! Our little Jackson has turned 3 months. Time sure does fly, and it's amazing to watch your little one growing up before your eyes. It's fun, but also bittersweet. We didn't have a pediatrician appointment this month, but will have a visit for our 4 month birthday. He gets a kick out of playing with his toys (reaching for them, as well as sticking them in his mouth), and does really well with his tummy time - lifting his head all the way up and pushing up on his elbows. He rolls over from his tummy to his back a lot, and loves to chat with us. He smiles at everyone and everything (toys included), and really likes to stand up when you hold him. Here are pictures from our 3 month photo shoot! He's a poser, for sure! And you probably can't tell, but Nick made me do the writing on his 3 month sign in orange and maroon. Go figure :).

Pumpkin pictures at Homestead

I may not work there anymore, but I still think it's a beautiful place to enjoy the different seasons. After the zoo last weekend, we decided to swing by Homestead to take some pictures with Jackson and the pumpkins, and get some pumpkins for our front steps.

Zoo Boo

For Jackson's first Halloween adventure, we went to the Baltimore Zoo on 10/28 with all of his local baby friends! It was the annual Zoo Boo where kids are encouraged to come to the zoo dressed up in their Halloween costumes and take part in different activities and go trick-or-treating. Needless to say, the babies weren't trick-or-treating this year, but they still got all dressed up for the event!

Jackson went as Tigger - borrowing his friend Preston's costume that Preston wore 3 years ago.

All of the mama's with their babies. Nathan the Cow, Rebecca the Penguin, Caleb the Spider, Jackson is Tigger, Jonas the Octopus, and Caroline the Chili Pepper!

This picture was just too cute not to post! Look at Caleb!

Little Jack was pretty tuckered by the end of the afternoon.
