Growing up so fast

All of a sudden little Jackson doesn't seem so little anymore. He's looking much more mature, and when he cries it doesn't even sound like a little cry anymore - sounds like a much older baby. Which is both good and bad!

In the past week he's taken a new interest in his toys. Not so much "playing" with them, but rather punching and swatting at them. He has such a good time with it! A couple of pictures of him this weekend, and then playing with his toys tonight...

The Baby Group

As most of you know, I have a group of friends that have all had babies from March to August of this year. Jackson was the last to arrive of the group. We all met when we were planning our weddings, and our friendships grew as we became pregnant one by one, and then had our babies. Jody, Kelly, Jenn, Dani, Anne, and Carrie - thank you for your never ending friendship, support, and advice!

As each of the babies have been born, the other mama's sent along an embroidered onesie with the baby's name on it. What a sweet thing to receive shortly after coming home from the hospital! Here's Jackson modeling his :).

Family picture time

Shockingly enough, we hadn't taken a family picture since the hospital. Can you believe that?? We finally took one this weekend. Nick needed a family picture for his newsletter at work, and we actually remembered to take one! Look at how our little man has grown in the past 11 weeks!

PS - I swear Nick owns other shirts and hats besides these :).

No one likes needles

This past Saturday morning we had to take Jackson to the hospital for some bloodwork. He hasn't been gaining weight quite like he should, and we feel like we pretty much live at the doctor. As most of you know (or if you don't, you should), Saturday was a Hokie football day. Before we headed out, we took some pictures of our little man. He had yet to wear his Hoke bird hat since we bought it on our trip to Blacksburg when he was only 5 weeks old. So he wore his little hat since his VT onesie was dirty. Jackson showed us what he thought of needles with his left hand.

And then he smirked about his witty gesture!

He did so well after getting his little heel pricked, and all of his bloodwork came back normal. The day really wore him out! After we watched the game and had dinner, he decided he'd had enough and took a snooze on daddy.

Because Rachel inspired me

I had started a blog shortly before our little one made his grand entrance, but since I have forgotten it's address, we're starting anew! I decided to make a blog because the baby website that we were previously using only allows you a certain amount of space, and that space was already getting filled up before we even had little Jackson.

So here we are! Not that I think I'll have much time to blog between having a 2 month old, a full time job, and maintaining a household with my dear husband. But I'm going to try. And besides, it's always fun to look at pictures!

Thanks Rachel. Or should that be Reese... :).
