Silly hat!

These pictures may fool you, and he may look like he likes this silly hat, but really he hates it, and we have to sing Jingle Bells to calm him down when we put it on :). Poor kid.

My first holiday office party!

What a good time that was! Jackson got presents from Aunt Janet and Aunt Pat, and he turned out to be the hit of the party. Whose not surprised??? Gram and Pop helped to support Jack's habit and introduced him to bottles of beer. He's in love with all bottles (water, orange soda, pepsi, milk), he isn't too picky. But now we have a new love - beer bottles. Just spreading the Christmas cheer!

FEET!

I have finally found what I didn't know I even had. TWO FEET! They go everywhere with me mom tells me. Two toys that I can always count on to go wherever I go. YES! Sometimes I get super lucky and can pull them into my mouth, too. Life is good.

Christmas #1

We celebrated our first Christmas with Nick's family this past weekend in Lynchburg, VA. Jack had a blast opening his presents, and we were all really spoiled this year. We were also able to get together with Nick's moms side of the family for their holiday get together. It was the first time everyone got to meet Jack, and we were able to meet the two other babies on that side of the family. Jack hammed it up to everyone, and all of the babies were really good. Two of Nick's other cousins also had babies this past year. Holly was born in June, and Ryan in September. Next year should be interesting since all 3 will more than likely be on the move! This year was much easier I'm willing to bet!

Ice cream?

What??? Can't a baby peek in the freezer without someone giving him a hard time about it??? Sheesh!

Bumbo

Sitting up and smiles

Jackson has been practicing sitting up a lot lately. We're probably still a couple months away from that, but it's never too early to start practicing. And he's been flashing some pretty big smiles, too!

Christmas photo shoot

The papparazzi! Mom thought it would be fun to have a photo shoot for our Christmas card, and fun it was! Jackson was such a good sport and let Mom and Dad do pretty much anything to take some pictures. It was so much fun! You can sort of see in these pictures how red his hair is turning. Never expected that!

Someone's 4 months old

Our little buddy is already 4 months old. He's starting to get a little chubbier, too! He's doing so many new things, is so involved in everything around him, and we just love watching him learn and grow. He did very well at his pediatrician appointment. He now weighs 13lbs 90z, and 25.5in long. Basically he's long and lean! He's so close to rolling from back to tummy (he's been doing tummy to back for a couple months), and loves chewing on everything he can get his hands on. Although mostly he just loves chewing on his hands :). But his absolute favorite thing to do is stand up. He just can't wait to be able to walk! We've also gotten lots of belly laughs out of him, mostly from tickling.

Holiday specials

So far, Jackson has really enjoyed watching all of the holiday specials on TV. It'll mean a lot more in the years to come, but we thought why not get him used to our favorite holiday shows now! First we enjoyed Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving special, and then Rudolph. He seemed to have fun with both! Although, he's into anything on the TV these days, so it probably wouldn't matter if he was watching a cartoon, CNN, or the weather channnel :).

Old man pants!

I love madras! Mommy picked up these cool old man pants for me before I was even born at a consignment shop, and boy do I love them! I always get tons of compliments on them, and they keep me nice and warm. Pop told me that my great grandfather probably had shorts in the same pattern!


Oh, and I LOVE looking at Reese on my fridge. I think she's hot. I wonder if she would dig these pants...

Thanksgiving!

We spent our first Thanksgiving at Gram and Pop's in Harwood and we had a blast! Jack wasn't so big on napping that day, so we had to entertain him a bit during dinner, but our first turkey day was a success and full of laughs, and we all eagerly await next year when our little man can have a taste of everything we eat.

Trip to Virginia

We all traveled the 6 hours down to Virginia the weekend before Thanksgiving to spend some time with Nick's family. With a baby, it will surely take MORE than 6 hours to get there. While we were down, we spent one night in Blacksburg and also went to the Miami game (Jackson made it to the tailgate, but stayed home for the game with his grandma and aunt Sarah). Jackson also got to meet his great grandparents - M and PaPa. He had a blast with them, and they likewise! It was a great weekend, and we can't wait to travel down again.

Jackson's first girlfriend"s"

That's right... plural. He has girlfriend"s". Couldn't decide between the two, so he has chosen both of them to be his first girlfriend. We told him he could only get away with this at such a young age. Things like that just don't fly when you grow up. So for now, he's just having fun, playing the field. Girlfriend #1 is Lila Anne. She lives in Chesapeake, VA, and is 3 weeks younger than Jack. Her favorite ways to spend her days are swinging, hanging with her big brother Preston, and shopping with her mama. She's the daughter of Mere's best friend Melissa and her hubby Ray. Jack and Lila's first rendevous was at the Country Inn and Suites in Annapolis.

Girlfriend #2 is Reese Elizabeth. She's a younger woman as well, a little over a month old. She lives in Blacksburg, VA with her parents Bryan and Rachel. She loves to spend her time planying on her tummy (NOT!), going to VT tailgates, and partying all night (much to her parents dismay). She's had a tough start in our world, but things are getting easier and easier for her. Jack was very intrigued by her crying, and couldn't stop staring at her when they met. Love at first sight. Although Reese wasn't too thrilled...

Toys!

He loves them! It almost seems as though he became interested overnight! His favorites are his blue elephant and his loopy toy.
